The first software that admits that it is broken - it does not claim that it's
the best, newest and vastly improved - multicolored and X based - its just
working and surly broken somewhere.
For software to get listed here, it has to adhere to certain standards. Beeing
available under the "B Licence" also called "Bolicy" certainly helps, but code
unreadability, beeing broken, or some other strangeness might be enough, too.
The last decision on including something here is always made by myself.
Nothing here claims to be efficient, but it gets the job done, most of it also is very portable due to the use of perl and /bin/sh.

While this project did not start as a B Software Project (it was formerly
called watchnews), it does fit nicely into the sheme, and was quickly
converted. Blinnd watches over your newsserver, and displays that
information in a nice fashion.

This small pop3 daemon is completely written in perl. I use it to fetch the
mail for my pilot. It has no deletion capability on purpose, but should be
easily extensible. Works only with maildir/mh folders.

The B saft redirect daemon is a small perl script you might want to use on
boxes without a saft server, so people are automatically redirected to the
right site.

This small program changes the uid of any running process on FreeBSD as
long as you have write access to /dev/kmem (usually only root).

psid is a small (non-X) 'frontend' for sidplay, to ease plaing a large
collection of files.
